Mr. Tariq Bajwa, Secretary, Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan and Mr. Jean-Francois Cautain, Ambassador of the European Union signed the following agreements today at the Economic Affairs Division, Islamabad:

1. Support to the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector in Pakistan (TVET III). Euro 49 million

2. Aid to Uprooted People in Pakistan. Euro 34 million

Mr. Jean-Francois Cautain, Ambassador of the European Union highlighted the role the European Union is playing in the development sector of Pakistan and underlined that the European Union remains committed to assisting in development sector in the future also.

Mr. Tariq Bajwa, Secretary, Economic Affairs Division, acknowledged the role of the European Union in helping the Government of Pakistan achieve sustainable socio-economic objectives European Union’s continued commitment to the development sector in Pakistan reflected by signing of these agreements.
